I am going to start with my oldest favorite because it is the one we would ride our bikes to when we first moved to Hunterdon County NJ. Gronsky’s Milk House makes the best egg sandwich and their pancakes are huge. Our 1st time there we had to move to a larger table when the food came out….a hearty breakfast for sure!

Super friendly staff and great service make Gronsky’s an easy pick on my Top 5 Breakfast Places in Hunterdon County. Get there early, it gets busy on the weekends and you may need to wait for a table. It’s worth it! Check out their website – Gronsky’s Milk House

When you can’t make up your mind, what you want is the Spinning Wheel Dinner. With a large menu, great food and friendly staff, it’s another one of my top 5 breakfast places in Hunterdon County, NJ. If the weather is nice the Sky Café is good fun. Who doesn’t like watching the planes and helicopters take off and land at the Alexandria Airport while eating a hearty breakfast. With its seasonal outdoor seating and delicious food. There is always a great new special to try. Having lived in Paris I am very particular about my French pastry. There is only one that comes close and that is the Sweet Melissa Patisserie. There is a window for the kids big and small to watch the flaky croissants being made. The Sweet Melissa Patisserie has won numerous awards in New Jersey for their great breakfast options. The last one on the list is a friendly little place in Milford, NJ called Ma-De-Chat. It looks like you’re going into someones home for breakfast. Our first time there the hostess said there was a wait unless we wanted to join another couple who wouldn’t mind. We had breakfast that morning with a lovely couple who lived in town. When does the Spring Housing Market pick up or start? by local real estate agent amy roth

People ask me all the time – when does the spring housing market pick up?

The “Spring Housing Market” is a frequent topic of conversation. As a local real estate agent I hear from both buyers and sellers that they are going to list or shop in the spring.

Spring in the housing market isn’t when the tulips are coming up or when the schools are on spring break. Consider that many make their buying plans around school ending or summer vacation schedules. Also consider that even a cash deal needs time for inspections plus title work and will be around 30 days to close. If you work backwards being under contract by the end of April is the latest for an early summer move. If there are mortgage appraisals, 45 days to close is more typical and that will place you into the 3rd week of April. This leaves about 10 weeks for the spring market. The calendar date for spring is actually when it may still be snowing.

People put all of their holiday décor away and make new years resolutions. Some of the resolutions include moving. There is one other day that real estate agents consider prior to the “Spring Market”. Funny enough it is the weekend after the Super Bowl that kicks off the market. Many people have the same ideas about spring. For buyers there are more homes to choose from but there are also more people buying. Buyers need a professional agent to help them locate the best homes to meet their needs. The other side of the coin is that sellers will have more competition and they need to be game ready. A seller needs a professional agent who can get them ready for selling.

There are many symbols of fortune and luck through out time. From four leaf clovers to horseshoes and rabbits feet. Did you know there was one to sell houses?
