Halloween in Clinton, NJ 2026: A Walk Down Main Street
Quick answer: Halloween 2026 in Clinton, NJ meant a Main Street full of creatively decorated pumpkins, dressed-up storefront windows, and Pumpkin Fest on Friday, October 23, when Main Street closed to traffic for an evening of pumpkin decorating, kids’ storytime and cider. Here is a 60-second walk down Main Street in video, plus my favorite sights from the week.

What Is Halloween Like in Clinton, NJ?
Clinton does Halloween the way a small town should. The historic downtown is compact and walkable, the Red Mill and the falls on the South Branch of the Raritan make the backdrop, and the shops and offices along Main Street go all out. This year the sidewalks were lined with pumpkins that were far more art than jack-o’-lantern: a family of hedgehogs with neon quills, a fairy garden cottage carved into a giant pumpkin, a striped popcorn bucket and a cheeseburger that looked good enough to eat.
It is the kind of place where you go out for a coffee and end up spending an hour just walking, looking and saying hello to neighbors. That feeling is a big part of why people fall in love with living here.

What Happened at Pumpkin Fest 2026?
The Guild of Clinton hosted Pumpkin Fest on Friday, October 23, from 6 to 9 PM, and Main Street closed to cars for the night. There was a pumpkin decorating competition with ribbons for the most creative pumpkins and a $100 People’s Choice award, plus kids’ Halloween storytime with the Hunterdon County Library and Read Mill Books, pumpkin ice cream from Just Chill, pumpkin painting with South Branch Emergency Services, a craft station from AR Workshop Clinton, and mulled cider and hot chocolate from The Stone Bean at Riverside Coffee and Tea. The Witches Paddle with Yellow Dog Paddle, with witches out on the water above the falls, is about as Clinton as it gets. You can keep up with future events on the Guild of Clinton events page.
How Did Haven Real Estate Collective Celebrate?
We could not let our neighbors have all the fun. Our window at Haven Real Estate Collective went full sea monster this year, with striped tentacles rising out of a pile of glowing green balloons, and inside the office a friendly ghost moved into the gold mirror over the couch. If you walked by and smiled, that was the whole point.
